He was commissioned in 18 Grenadiers in march of 1996. He is an alumnus of Officers Training Academy, Chennai. The officer has been part of UN peace keeping force. He is presently a part time TA officer and is associated with the Territorial Army. The glorified officer has a national recognition for bravery, leadership, and strategic planning because of his participation in operation Vijay, 1999 and leading several assaults primarily on features of Tiger Hill and capturing HUMP in Tololing on 12/13 June, 1999. Besides being a constant support for the Indian Army, he also regularly writes military articles on the issues of Terrorism, Information literacy, Security related issues, Human Rights etc.
