Centre for International Relations and Strategic Studies

A modern state confronts multiple and simultaneous challenges across various domains. National security cannot be confined to using the state’s coercive power to overcome domestic and external threats. For example, threats to domestic peace and stability may arise from economic and social grievances; hence, the approach must be interdisciplinary. AFPR’s goal is to play an intellectual role in India’s national security thinking and decision-making process and to be an idea factory that engenders serious debate about the desirable course of action for the challenges we face as a nation. Our idea is to create a dialogue platform where various issues relating to international order can be discussed and analyzed freely and candidly.
